These study series are designed to help people establish a foundation for Christian Living and Service. Each Pathways class represents a significant development stage and commitment in the Christian life.

My New Life 101

The goal of Pathway 100 is to usher a person into the first steps of Christianity. During this time we look at five foundations of the Christian faith and transformed life:

1. Salvation
2. Water Baptism
3. The Lord's Supper
4. The Baptism In The Holy Spirit
5. Sharing My New Life

My Church Life 201

The goal of this Pathway to move someone who has an established commitment to Christ into becoming committed to the life of Melbourne West Church. It covers such issues as:

1. Church Statements
2. Church Values
3. Church Structure
4. Church Strategy
5. Church Membership

My Spiritual Life 301

The Focus of this Pathway is the Four Basic Habits every Christian must master in order to grow to spiritual maturity. The goal is to move a person to a commitment to develop the habits and skills needed for spiritual maturity; that is, someone who is committed to the life of the local church will become committed to spiritual maturity.

This class will equip the disciple with the skills needed to begin these habits and explain the tools needed to continue these habits. They are:

1. Time with God in His Word
2. Time with God in Prayer
3. Time with each other in Fellowship
4. The development of Generosity

Serving for Life 401

The goal of is to move someone who has a commitment to Christ and the life of Melbourne West Church, into becoming committed to Serving by activating and using the specific gifts and abilities that God has given them by identifying their unique S.H.A.P.E.

We have prepared and adapted several tools to discover the five factors that make you who you are:

1. Discovering your Spiritual Gift(s)
2. Monitoring your Heartbeat
3. Applying your Abilities
4. Identifying your Personality
5. Examining your Experiences

Leading in Life 501

The goal is to develop Christian Leaders. This is where we multiply ourselves as we lead others in their Christian development. This is a 2 year course and is strongly linked to the Christian Outreach Centre State vision. We call it 'Emerging Leaders Pathway to Building Teams and Winning Souls'. It covers the following Units:

3. UNIT 1: EL Ministry Project
4. UNIT 2: Demonstrate the Character of a Leader
